A good simple DVD player to replace old one in bedroom.

looked for player for a while and considered a few different makes but bought Philips based on good features, design, price and previous experience of Philips reliability and innovation

Excellent player bought on the premise that it might play some older DVDs I had made using cheap discs. Has played everything without any problems. Coupled with neat size then this is highly recommended player.

I tried two other similar units before buying this DVD and they both failed. It has now completed my trial and find it is a very reliable piece of equipment which I can recommend. Well done!

Have had two philips tv's over the past 20 years, the first one stll works great, but I decided to update to a bigger screen high definination one, was so impressed with the picture quality I decided to purchase a hd dvd player to go with it. Even my old dvd's play with much better quality than I expected and the connectivity between the player and the tv is great, just turn on the player put a dvd in and it starts to play. Would recommend this combination to anyone.

My choice in DVD player, was enhanced by your website. We have always had Philips electronic and home equipment going back to early 60s. I got the learned choice from my dad. Here comes DVD player DVP3580 and on the reviews, I read a lot about DVD players. I chose this DVP3580 and did not see negatives for what its meant to do. My choice was also based on how easy to use. Just switch on my Philips TV, look for DVD channel, put the DVD in and it plays beautifully, Even some DVDs I had problems with on computer e.g flickering, were great on the DVD. CDs I could not play on computer played on the DVD, so I could look at my old collection of CDs No extra noise, beautiful crisp picture. Fantastic. Even the grandchildren can use it very easily.

I wanted a unit that was easy to use and would allow me to produce good quality recordings from video onto DVD. Just the job!
