Also gekauft und glücklich.

Bought this soundbar in combination with a Phillips TV. Worked well and I was very happy with the sound. Althoug the App wasnt very easy to use nor very user friendly, I was content overall. Untill after nearly 2 year the sound suddenly stopped in intervals of a few seconds. few seconds sound, few seconds nothing, then again few seconds sound and so on. Playing music via playfi, playing tv (steaming, apps, and digatal channels) connected with hdmi cable - same problem everytime. I did all the checks concerning wires and settings but failed to find the sollution, thus I contacted phillips custumer service by telephone. After explaining the problem the Customer support told me she would pass my case on to technical support and would reply by email. In the weeks that followed I received an email per week with silly instructions for settings tv, and questions about how the settings of my spotify were. Also my replies werent really taken into account because i received (sometimes after 2 weeks) the same instructions over and over. At some point I felt this method would't lead to a sollution so i asked where i could send the soundbar to for technical analysis. For soundsbar philips doenst have these repair points was hte answer and I had to go back to the company i bought the sounbar: HelloTV. I contacted HELLOTV in the netherlands and they told me the soundbar could be send to philips for analysis and it would cost 60€ research costs. I agreed and 4 weeks later i received the verdict: nearly €500 euro cost of repair. When i asked what the defect was they had to contact philips again for that..I paid for research thus i wanted to know what was causing the problem. Answer i received : motherboard defect and needed to be replaced. Offcourse I was shocked that after nearly 2 years this happened and because my first contact with philips customar service was a few weeks after warrenty period of 2 years ended i hoped for some leniency. but I am not spending another 500 euro for a soundbar repair that supposed to be a topline of phillips and payed 700 euro for when i bought it. My experience with philips isnt good. customer service very bad, response time bad and product quality even worse. Soundbar has always been treated with diligence but still it broke down after nearly 2 years. Fingers crossed that my philips tv will survive a little longer.

Merci Philips
