The Lumea IPL 9000 is my smooth operator! Easy to use and makes hair removal feel less like a chore. My razor is officially jealous, my legs are loving life and I’m ready to flash my way to fabulous! The kit comes with a great range of attachments for all hair areas. The power cable is long enough that you don’t need to be mounting the wall to get silky smooth legs. It’s basically silent which is a plus when you’re doing it at 10pm. My hairs are actively staying away!

This hair removal device has been a game changer for me. I am very pale skinned with thick, dark hair and my body hair grows unbelievably fast. Shaving and waxing takes up so much of my time and I really needed to find a solution which makes managing body hair not so much of a mammoth chore. The Philips Lumea after just two sessions has made my body hair grow back noticeably less and already in patches I have seen no regrowth at all. My hair is noticeably finer and growing at a far slower rate. After a few more sessions I am confident that I will be smooth all over for extended periods which is my desired goal. Very very happy with this device.

This product is a dream come true for anyone who is a bit of a drama queen like me when it comes to hair removal. Until using the Lumea, I've never found a method I was completely happy with, mostly because many are so painful or having to schedule waxes is so inconvenient. The Lumea is simple to operate and is pain free (at last!) The Phillips app provides guidance on how to use the product from preparation to finish, making it an easy tool to get to grips with. There is even a guide on how to select the correct setting for your skin type. I am pale with dark hair and found that setting 5 worked the best for me. A quick push of a button and I was zapping my way to noticeable hair removal. The Lumea even has a light indicator to tell you when to press the button to activate it. It is light weight but sturdy. It is small enough to store without it being invasive of cupboard space. You could store it in your bedside drawer. It even comes with a neat storage bag which is about the same size as an average make up bag. I am not finished using this product but it has only taken 5 weeks to get to the point where I can see a real difference. My legs, under arms and face have all become smoother. My hair is taking longer and longer to come back. The hair that has returned is much more sparse. I have also seen a reduction in ingrown hairs and the little red spots that have plagued me most of my life. I will definitely be more confident in shorts and dresses next summer. I fully intend to complete the hair removal programme and I am excited for the final results. I have been waiting for a product like this for so long and would have no qualms about purchasing another model if they upgrade it at any point. The only gripe I have with the product is that the light is quite small so it can take a while to complete larger areas like legs. At first I also found myself losing track of what areas I had covered until I became more confident with using it. I would love it if they brought out a colour changing gel so that it was easier to map where you zapped but in a way this speaks very highly for how pain free to use the product actually is! Moving forward I am certain I will be loyal to the product and more interested in trying future Phillips products.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the lumea IPL 9000 series, I shaved my legs and used it once two weeks ago and then again today, I have noticed there is definitely less hair growth and I will definitely continue to use this amazing product! It was painless for me and I had no irritation and feel this is a excellent product to help cut down hair growth all over your body.

I am on my 3rd session with this device and I can confidently say that I am now able to see real results. I have very fair skin and dark hairs and have used this device every 2 weeks as recommended. I have downloaded the app as well which is really helpful! It has a lot of insights on how to use the device and it also allows you to log your sessions and it sends you reminders. On my very first session I was a little bit nervous and although the device recommended me a 5 level intensity I was only able to use a 3. On my second session I started gaining more confidence and used a 4. And this is when I started seeing real results. My hair on my legs, arms and armpits are growing a little slower and I can see patches where my hair seems to not grow at the moment. I am expecting this to expand to my full areas as I continue using the device. I have to say that this is a big time investment, you need to shave completely wherever you want to use the device and then slowly work your way using the laser. It takes me 1 hour to complete my full legs, arms and armpits including shaving time. I will keep using it and I am confident I will soon be hair free!

I really like how easy and comfortable the Philips Lumea is to use compared with my usual hair removal method. After two sessions, I've already noticed that my hair is growing back more slowly and feels finer in some areas. The process is quick, simple and convenient at home. I'm looking forward to continuing with it and seeing further hair reduction. If the results continue to improve, I will fell very happy and more confident about having smooth skin with less frequent hair removal.

I was excited to try this as I have very dark hair on fair skin that constantly needs shaving. I don’t find this painful at all (even on max setting) and the process is super straightforward. It is more difficult to get full skin contact around boney areas (knees/ankles etc) but I usually manage it with some playing around. Being able to use this wirelessly is also really handy. So far I have done 2 treatments of my full legs and after the second treatment I noticed it took longer for my hair to grow back, so I’m optimistic I can be hair free with the full plan!

Body hair and facial hair has always been an issue for me and such a hassle to remove. Before discovering the Phillips Lumea 9000 IPL hair removal, I would dedicate time to removing my hair every day. And I have tried everything. I have shaved, which for me almost always came with cuts, ingrown hairs and missed hairs, I have used an epilator, which is painful, time consuming and sometimes doesn’t remove all the hairs, I have also waxed, which again, is time consuming, painful, messy and not all the hairs are removed. Plus with epilating and waxing, you need to let your hair grow for them to work, and I surely don’t want to do that especially during summer. As for shaving, the hair can start growing back as soon as the next day. After the first use of the Phillips Lumea 9000 IPL hair removal, I have noticed that hair regrowth was much slower. After 3-4 days I could feel some hair when touching my skin, but it was not noticeable. With the other methods I would notice hair regrowth within the next day or two. Some areas actually stayed hair free until the second IPL session, meaning that there was less hair regrowth in general. Not to mention the convenience and pain free experience of using the Lumea 9000. The device is extremely easy to use and it comes with a bag for storage and 3 different heads for different body parts: legs, armpits+intimate area, face. The skin sensor automatically adjusts the intensity level to suit your skin type and all you have to do is glide the IPL device across your skin. The most pain I’ve felt while using it was a tiny pinch like sensation, which I have only experienced in my intimate area, which is more sensitive as it is. As I am writing this I am a few days after the second IPL session and I’m amazed at how smooth my skin feels. I’ve experienced no irritation, no ingrown hairs or small injuries, things that have been common for me when using the other methods. After just 2 sessions I’m beyond impressed with the Phillips Lumea 9000, from the ease of use to the amazing results. It is definitely a worthy investment. I have less concerns about hairs that might have been missed, hairs that might have regrown over night, and I have mire time for myself. This device has made hair removal less of a chore and so much easier. I can’t wait to see the results after the full treatment.

J'avais déjà fait la lumière pulsée en institut (aisselles et maillot échancré) donc je savais à quoi m'attendre, mais c'est la première fois que j'utilise un appareil à la maison. Par curiosité, j'ai testé sur les aisselles, les jambes et le maillot. Aucune douleur, c'est vraiment agréable à utiliser. Les embouts différents selon les zones facilitent bien le passage, on s'adapte facilement à chaque partie du corps. J'ai la peau assez claire (sans être très pâle) et les poils châtains, un profil qui se prête plutôt bien à ce type d'épilation. Après 2 séances, c'est encore un peu tôt pour un résultat complet, mais je commence déjà à voir les poils repousser plus fins et moins nombreux par endroits. Vu mon expérience passée en institut, je sais que les vrais résultats arrivent après plusieurs séances. Au final, je pense pouvoir obtenir le même résultat qu'en institut, mais pour beaucoup moins cher et sans la douleur, un très bon plan.

Très bon appareil, mais il faut être régulière J'utilise le Philips Lumea Série 9000 depuis 3 semaines et je suis globalement très satisfaite. Je l'ai utilisé sur les zones avec les différents embouts adaptés (visage, jambes entières, maillot et aisselles) et je constate une diminution de la repousse après la deuxième séance. L'appareil est très simple à prendre en main. Le capteur SmartSkin est rassurant pour choisir le niveau d'intensité et les différents embouts sont vraiment pratiques selon les zones. Côté confort, les flashs sont quasi indolores pour ma part, mais vous pouvez adapter facilement l'intensité selon votre ressenti. L'utilisation est plutôt confortable lorsque la peau est bien rasée avant la séance. Le principal point à savoir avant d'acheter est qu'il faut être régulière et patiente : ce n'est pas un résultat immédiat après une seule utilisation. Il faut respecter les séances et les retouches pour obtenir une diminution durable de la pilosité. Il faut également tenir compte des précautions concernant l'exposition au soleil. Les points positifs pour moi : efficacité, facilité d'utilisation, rapidité des séances et les différents embouts. Peut être qu'un fil d'alimentation un peu plus long faciliterait les séances. Au final, je recommande ce produit aux personnes qui souhaitent réduire durablement leur pilosité à domicile et qui sont prêtes à suivre le protocole régulièrement.
